Itinerary - Day 1

Fly into the town of Uyuni where our team will be ready to meet you at the airport.

Climb aboard our 4WD vehicle(s) for a short drive to the train cemetery. Later, drive to the village of Colchani to stroll its colorful market and visit a salt processing plant. Immediately after, make our way to the mesmerizing Uyuni Salt Flats where we will spend the rest of the day. Enjoy the best photography with the aid of our team and be awed by a picnic-style lunch as well as sunset experience in the salt flats. Retreat to your unique accommodation tonight.

Itinerary - Day 2

Enjoy a second day of visiting the highlights of Salar de Uyuni, including the famous Dakar monument and the first-ever salt hotel. If conditions allow, we will get to experience the otherworldly “mirror effect” (rainy season) and more opportunities for amazing photography. Later, after stopping at Incahuasi Island (dry season), retreat to your unique accommodation for another great night’s rest.

Itinerary - Day 3

Early start to make our way south of the Salt Flats. Drive along vast high-altitude deserts and be awed by dramatic landscapes including Andean lagoons, volcanoes, rock valleys and wetlands. View unique wildlife up-close and enjoy the crisp air of the Altiplano. Reach one of the most remote accommodations in the desert along the Chilean border for a comfortable refuge in this inhospitable environment.

Itinerary - Day 4

Continue our high-altitude adventure along the Siloli desert (an extension of the Atacama desert) stopping at the ‘rock tree’ and other fascinating formations. Stop by the Red Lagoon and its pink flamingos before safely walking among boiling geysers. Next, enjoy the soothing powers of natural hot springs and the dramatic views of more volcanoes, lagoons and deserts. Embark on the long, but manageable drive back to Uyuni or let us transfer you to the town of San Pedro de Atacama from the border, arriving in Chile at a comfortable time.
